All-Russian 3x3 Basketball Tournament "Orange Ball" Held in Chelyabinsk


The basketball battle took place on the courts of the Chelyabinsk Palace of Pioneers named after N.K. Krupskaya this weekend.
This mass basketball tournament in Chelyabinsk was held for the fifteenth time. 113 teams fought under the ring. The winners will represent the Chelyabinsk region at the all-Russian final of the competition, which will be held in Yekaterinburg.
The winners of the tournament were the following teams: "Double" (Chelyabinsk) - girls aged 14; "Maximum" (Miass) - girls aged 16; "Na Kavkaz" (Chebarkul) - juniors aged 18; "Pozitiv-2" (Chelyabinsk) - women aged 19; "Ball gams" (Chelyabinsk) - boys aged 14; "Stella" (Chelyabinsk) - boys aged 16; "Gachimuchi" (Emanzhelinsk) - juniors aged 18; "Kurchatov-2" (Chelyabinsk) - men aged 19.
Vladimir Ivanov, the Minister of Sports of the Chelyabinsk Region, who visited the competition, said that basketball is now spreading throughout the Southern Urals by leaps and bounds and there is a high chance that we will see Chelyabinsk basketball players in the future Olympic Games.
